Acting and Auditioning
July 5th
Acting 101: Students will learn the fundamental techniques and skills necessary to develop their acting abilities for musical theatre. Through various exercises and activities, students will gain an understanding of how to use their voice, body language, and facial expressions to convey emotion and connect with their audience. They will learn how to analyze and interpret a script, create a character, and build relationships with other characters in a scene.
How To Audition Classes: These hour-long class will give students a good foundation for auditioning, including; the basics of preparation, material selection, physical and vocal technique, acting technique, professionalism, and tips for success.
Cost - $20

Dance
July 6th
Students will learn the basics of dance technique and how to apply them to different styles commonly found in musical theater productions. Beginning with a thorough warm-up to prepare the body for movement and prevent injury. Students will learn basic steps, combinations, and choreography in each style, and also explore how to incorporate storytelling and character into their movements. We will also cover basic dance terminology and notation, as well as proper body alignment and posture. Throughout the class, I will emphasize the importance of musicality and rhythm, and how to work with music to enhance performance. Students will have the opportunity to perform in class and receive feedback on their technique and performance quality.
By the end of the class, students will have a solid understanding of the basics of musical theater dance and be able to apply their knowledge to further dance training and performance opportunities.

Vocal Tchnique
July 7th
Help students develop healthy singing habits and build a strong foundation for their vocal abilities. This includes working on proper breathing technique, vocal exercises for improving range, tone, and clarity, good posture and body alignment, and strategies for avoiding vocal strain and injury. By the end of the class, students should have a solid foundation in vocal technique that they can continue to build on as they develop their singing abilities.
